This year Holy Trinity Wallington was used to sort around 10,700 Christmas charity boxes for children in need.
Over a three week period, the team, made up of people from different local churches, checked boxes donated to the Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Child appeal. Every year the charity collects gifts packed in shoeboxes for some of the poorest children in the world. These are collected and then checked before being shipped to countries like Liberia and Iraq.
The team this year processed a remarkable number of boxes, working flat out in cold conditions (the church heating gave out). Many thanks to all those who gave their time and gifts so generously for the appeal.
